![]() Oddly enough, I found myself taking more photos of myself than I had planned. Seemed to improve my looks, I think – I appeared to be taller, with a smaller waist, broader shoulders, and have a much fuller and darker head of hair. It’s pretty cool in there – I highly recommend it, even if it’s just to look at the fun-house shapes it makes of your face. Once the sun had fully risen, I took some selfies (kinda) in the ‘omphalos’ – fancy word for the underbelly of the Cloud Gate before more people arrived. The view standing on the west side allows you to capture the skyline as a reflection, as you see in my photo. Plus, it has the Chicago skyline as the backdrop. The view on the east side gives some great colors of the rising sun as it reflects off the sculpture (so I’m told). Take a moment to photograph all the angles.
